Hi Cathy. I don’t know about bleeding gums in particular but do know that people with autoimmune diseases can and do have dental problems. You mentioned that you live in the United Kingdom. I had a problem with my gums bleeding and they gave me a rinse agent to swish around in my mouth. I had to do it three times a day for a period of time and it did solve the problem. This was several years ago and I’m sorry that I can’t remember what the product was. Smiles
