Scleroderma Information » Scleroderma » Bone Marrow Transplants
Question:
My RD has suggested that I might think about a bone marrow transplant as a treatment for RA, that might put it in remission. I would like to know if anyone has heard of this treatment, and if so, I am interested in learning more about it. Thanks, Glenda — -Big Z

You can find out a little on how BMT is being tried on scleroderma, a related disease, at http://www2.uchc.edu/~vazquez/bmt.html — Amie

Glenda, Kate(Kropos) is also considering a bone marrow transplant. Shes getting a new hip right now, but should be back next week. I know she has done some research on the subject, so I’m sure she will have info to share. Keep Smilin’ ~Krissy "The most thoroughly wasted of all days is that in which one has not laughed."
