What gets me is that this is the only scleroderma group in the big wide world of Usenet. I typed the keyword scleroderma in Google groups and came up with this group and misc.health.arthritis which, if you’ll pardon the expression, isn’t a very healthy group from the looks of it. Is _everybody_ who has access to Usenet and has scleroderma in denial except for us? Nell

Some folks (in the part of the country that gets cold weather) says that’s it’s because it hasn’t been cold enough to kill the germs. IOW we’ve had an "open winter". People in warmer climes don’t say that. Can’t recall (21 years since I’ve lived in a warmer clime) what they do say. I hope everyone gets to feeling better real soon. Take care, Nell

Come to think about it I haven’t had and colds or anything this past year and to date. Gee, I hope you feel better real soon. Bummer to be sick on Valentines Day. I hope you got lots of chocolate. Neat cards etc. There is that anti viral drug, I took two rounds of it a few years ago. it works, not real sure it would help with a cold. I would make you some home made chicken soup, but by the time you got it, it wouldn’t be too good. Get better, and stay warm. Wende

This might sound odd, but about nine years back, I was hospitalized with a staph infection. I received via IV, antibiotics on a constant basis for about a week. Since that time, I’ve had only three or four occurrences of having a cold. That’s not to say that the rest of me isn’t a wreck, which includes having severe dental and digestion problems. Many say that the antibiotics not only took care of what’s bad, but also did a number on what’s good. A while back, as an experiment, I started taking Nu-Zyme, an enzyme similar to acidophilus. Much to my pleasure, my digestion has improved greatly. The only rub is that when I did get a cold, it knocked me on my butt where I didn’t have the energy to get out of bed. BOB

God bless all of you with your colds. Fortunately I live in Florida and I have not had many colds in my lifetime. Weather is a large factor in that equation I’m sure. With our disease anything is possible as we all know. On another subject. I’ve have been advised by all my doctors {Meds or exurbs}sp. to not take anything without notifying them. The reason was that with all the meds I’m on it could affect my liver or kidneys. Other than that I’ve had a wonderful day and I hope all of did too. Tim <no_toca…@webtv.net> wrote in message

Oh, yeah, I got to discover this year, now that I have high BP, how much fun colds are without a decongestant, too! Arrrrgh!
