Is it typical for an individual with scleroderma to experience excruciating pain when slightly touched on the shoulder?
Response:
I do not experience excruciating pain, but then pain is an individal thing. Some have more tolerance than others. I find it painful when someone touches or grabs my arms or even taps me to get my attention. This has been a problem since before I was diagnosed, but was already experiencing SD symptoms. I just tell people it is painful and explain why. They don’t always understand, but it does solve the problem.
