Question:
One of the many things I wanted to do for my chapter this year… and didn’t get around to it… I think the SF-national or local chapters could offer Christmas cards to the members that basically said "Don’t buy me present, give me a gift of hope by donating to the Scleroderma Foundation." I wanted to have a form on the back that would assure the donor of a tax deduction, that we would send an acknowledgement to the person they named, and that all monies raised would go to research. Maybe next year?…. Lisa Glover

A great idea Ronni. My oldest brother makes a donation every year for my birthday in my name. — *** Love, Hugs and well wishes From *** Sherry Messick, Visit My Site! With Christmas and Chanukah coming soon, let’s consider a very meaningful gift — a donation to the Scleroderma Foundation (or the Scleroderma Research Foundation, or both). When people ask you want you want for the holidays, why not suggest they make a donation in your name? Or, if you’re a friend or relative of someone with scleroderma, make a donation in his or her name. The Foundations will send a note to the person that a donation has been made in their honor. Instead of that extra tie or bottle of perfume, help to support research, education and support for scleroderma sufferers. The need for donations is crucial for this work to continue. Ronni

Great idea, Lisa! I just returned from the Scleroderma Foundation board meeting in San Diego, where we discussed various membership services (Nancy Wempe, Elaine Furst, Joe Pozen and I are on the Membership Services Committee). I’m going to pass this idea along to the other committee members. For those who wish to make suggestions, express ideas and opinions about membership services, please e-mail Nancy, the committee chair (SFNan…@aol.com). Input is welcome! Ronni
