Good sentiments, but it is hardly necessary to coach any sufferer, or relative of a sufferer on how to describe their feelings regarding what it is like to live with any form of Scleroderma. Better advice is to suggest that what is written contains little or no bitterness towards the medical ‘profession’. It has taken me a very long time to stop doing that. Some would say, I still do it. For USF’s April 11 fundraiser in New York City, we’re having a journal. In addition to the usual ads, we want to include several quotes from scleroderma patients, family members, spouses, etc. to give people an idea of the "pain" of SD.  We’d like some glimpses of what it’s like to have/live with a person with SD.  They should "tug at the heartstrings" so that people will be prompted to donate to research. Here’s an example of what I’m looking for:  "Every time I see my wife struggle to open a door or button her blouse, I feel so helpless.  She wants to do these things on her own, but it pains me to stand by and do nothing to make it easier for her." These "verbal snapshots" should run about 50 words.  I need them this week, so please e-mail your submissions to RSM U…@aol.com as soon as possible.  Thanks. Ronni
