Question:

thanks for your replies to my questions. I particularly would like to address Nancy I was told I have Progessive Systemic Scleoderma.  I was hospitalized 2 time in the past approx. 5 years via the emergency room.  I, also, have numerous tests, especially in the last month ie ekg chest, stress tests, echo, pft, vpi and it seems that they always find something wrong but I believe that you have to keep rolling along the best way you can.  But I am still a very curious person and need to try to find an answer to everything.  I guess that came from working with a Doctor for 18 years.  Thanks again.

Response:

Yes, I too have hypothyroidism, but the Dr’s said it was unrelated to my SD.   Jacquie

Response:

I was hypothyroid. I was put on Levothroid .1 mg and did well for about two  months. Dr. said it was a low dose. Then my hands began to shake-first the  left and then the right, mostly the thumbs, so I stopped taking it. Dr. has me  scheduled for another blood test in about a month. Says if I still show hypo  he will put me on a lower dose. I am on nothing now. Dr. says hypo can ’stir  up’ scleroderma. Wasn’t more specific than that. Since I was dx with  scleroderma two years ago I have had more blood tests and medications for  symptoms that only seem to show up in the tests than I can count. Nancy
