Question:
Information I was given after diagnosis by the major SD support groups here in the USA indicated using D-penicillamine and colchicine to slow the binding process of collagen in the skin. In the short time since I was given that info (2 years) a new study has indicated that this may not be true with D-pen. Are you currently being treated by a rheumatologist, and if so, what medications are you on? When you say you are having "collagen production" do you mean your skin is hardening rapidly?
